Esther’s first book, This Golden Fleece, was published on 5th September 2019, and you can order your copy here if you live in the UK, or here if you are in the US. In 2017 she won the Society of Authors/Authors Foundation Roger Deakin Award for This Golden Fleece, and received a grant from Creative Scotland to support her research.

Esther is Writer in Residence (2017 – 2020) at the University of St Andrews, within the School of Geography and Sustainable Development, and works as a freelance project manager. Before a 10-year career in cultural heritage, she read English at Oxford University’s Magdalen College, where she held an academic scholarship and chose to specialise in literary biography and psychogeography. Esther grew up on a sheep farm in Suffolk and retains an affection for all things woolly.
